Josephine Meng is a Europe-based photographer and imager-maker, whose work crystallises eras and atmospheres
through a contemporary lens. Her visual world relies on contradiction.
She counts brands such as Balenciaga, Maison Margiela, Chrome Hearts and Valentino to her clients, and her body of
work has previously also been published across Purple, King Kong, Alla Carta, and Vogue.
Meng’s work highlights stories told by way of pictures, instead of reciting a plot; it isn’t rooted in linearity, but in moods,
in the mind of the character, in the silent drama of the frame.
Tension is intentional. It is a study of dichotomy: constructed intimacy and curated chaos are a through line.
